A breakout for the Atmel AT24C02 serial EEPROM - 2 kilobits, which is 256 bytes, not 2 kilobytes. It hangs off the I2C bus on four pins and keeps whatever you write to it with the power off, which makes it the easy place to park settings, a run-hours counter or sensor calibration. Rated for a million write cycles and 100 years of data retention, with 10 kOhm pull-ups already fitted on SDA and SCL.
