Who we are

Sparklab Robotics is an electronics shop and engineering lab at Sabaa Ayoun Building, Near Hariri Mosque, Saida, Lebanon. We run this website and are responsible for the information you give it. For anything on this page, email sparklabrobotics@gmail.com.

What you give us when you order

To place an order we ask for your name, phone number and email address, and your address if you want it delivered. You can add a note, and you choose how the order reaches you and how you will pay.

We use this to process and deliver your order, to contact you about it, and to email you an order confirmation. We keep it with your order history - which is also how we recognise you the next time you order with the same phone number.

Payments

There is no card payment on this site, so we never collect or store card details. You pay in cash on delivery or when you collect, or by OMT, Whish or bank transfer, which happens outside this website. We only record which method you chose.

Your account

An account is optional. If you create one we store your name, phone number, email and address, and any delivery addresses you save. You sign in with your email and a password, or with Google. We keep your password only in a scrambled form (a one-way hash) that nobody, including us, can turn back into the password. When you create an account or reset your password we email you a one-time code, to confirm the address is yours.

While you are signed in, your browser keeps a sign-in token and a copy of your contact details so the site can fill them in for you; signing out removes them.

Signing in with Google

If you choose “Sign in with Google”, Google tells us your name and email address and confirms that the email is yours. That is all we receive - never your Google password, your contacts or anything else in your Google account.

We use that email to find your account or create one, and ask you for a phone number and address, which Google does not provide. We do not use information from Google for advertising, and we do not share it with anyone. Google's handling of the sign-in itself is covered by Google's own privacy policy.

The shop assistant

The chat assistant answers questions about our products. What you type is sent to Anthropic, the company whose AI model powers it, to write the reply.

We keep a record of each conversation - your question, the reply, the products it suggested, the time and your IP address - to learn what customers are looking for and to stop abuse. We delete these records after 90 days. The assistant does not need your name, phone or address, so please don't type them in.

Analytics and advertising cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used - which pages are visited, roughly from where and on what kind of device - and Google Ads to measure whether our ads lead to visits and orders. Both set cookies in your browser.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on from tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

What stays on your device

Some things are kept only in your own browser:

• Your cart, so it is still there when you come back. It only reaches us when you check out.
• Your sign-in token and contact details, while you are signed in.
• The chat conversation, until you close the tab, and the chat window size you last chose.

Who else sees your information

Only the services that run the shop for us, and only what each one needs:

• Odoo, which holds our order and customer records and sends our emails - order confirmations and account codes.
• The courier who delivers your order, who gets your name, phone number and address.
• WhatsApp (Meta), when we message you about your order.
• Google, for Analytics, Ads and Sign in with Google, as above.
• Anthropic, for the shop assistant, as above.

We do not sell your information, and we do not give it to anyone else unless the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

• Orders and customer records: for as long as we need them to run the shop and keep our accounts, since past orders make up your order history.
• Shop assistant conversations: 90 days.
• Our web server's access logs, which record IP addresses and the pages requested: 14 days.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account. Email sparklabrobotics@gmail.com or message us on WhatsApp. We may have to keep records of past orders where the law requires it.

Children

Children should use this site with a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us personal information without one, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and the date at the top.
