The standard 40 x 40 x 3.9 mm Peltier plate: pass DC through it and one ceramic face pumps heat into the other. Driven from a hot side at 25 C it will shift up to 50 W and open a 66 C gap between the faces, at up to 6.4 A and 14.4 V, through 150 mm of AWG16 Teflon-insulated lead (red is positive). It is what sits inside mini fridges, drink coolers, dehumidifiers and dew-point traps - and it needs a proper heatsink and fan on the hot face or it cooks itself.
Key features
- Qmax 50 W and delta T 66 C with a 25 C hot side
- Imax 6.4 A, Vmax 14.4 V; runs happily from 12V
- 40 x 40 x 3.9 mm alumina ceramic plates
- 150 mm AWG16 Teflon leads, red positive
- Flip the polarity and it heats instead of cools
- Needs a heatsink and fan on the hot side
