The D1 mini form factor: an ESP8266 with an ESP-12F module squeezed into 34 x 25.6 mm and 3 g, updated here with a USB-C socket. Eleven digital I/O pins - all of them except D0 doing interrupts, PWM, I2C or one-wire - plus one analog input, 4 MB of flash and a core that runs at 80 or 160 MHz. It is the board to use when a full NodeMCU will not fit the enclosure, and there is a large range of stackable D1 mini shields to go with it.
Key features
- 34.2 x 25.6 mm and 3 g - about half a NodeMCU
- ESP-12F module, ESP8266 at 80/160 MHz, 4 MB flash
- Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n on 2.4 GHz
- 11 digital I/O (all but D0 do interrupt / PWM / I2C / one-wire)
- 1 analog input, 3.2V maximum
- USB-C connector with a CH340 serial bridge
- 3.3V logic on every pin - not 5V tolerant
