The same nRF24L01+ radio and the same SPI code as the plain module, but with a Skyworks RFX2401C front end - a power amplifier on transmit, a low-noise amplifier on receive - and an SMA socket with a screw-on antenna. Output rises to over +20 dBm and sensitivity to about -95 dBm, which vendors translate into roughly a kilometre; a few hundred metres of clear line of sight is the honest figure. It peaks at 115 mA, so give it its own 3.3V supply.
