The sensor behind every security light. A pyroelectric element under the white Fresnel dome watches for a moving warm body and pulls its output high when it finds one - no code needed, just read a pin. The two orange pots set sensitivity, which moves the range over roughly 3 to 7 metres, and how long the output stays high, from about a second to three minutes. The L/H jumper decides whether continued movement re-triggers the timer. It idles under 2 mA, so battery alarms are practical.
