The cheapest way to get one-way wireless between two microcontrollers: an FS1000A transmitter and an XY-MK-5V super-regenerative receiver, sold as a pair. The SAW resonator on the transmitter in the photo is marked R433, so this is the 433 MHz version. It is on-off keyed, which suits short commands rather than streams - remotes, doorbells, one-button switches. Solder a 17.3 cm wire to each ANT pad; without antennas the range is metres.
Key features
- Transmitter and receiver pair, one-way (simplex) link
- 433 MHz ASK/OOK - SAW marked R433 on the transmitter
- Transmitter takes 3.5-12V; receiver needs 5V
- Range rises with transmitter voltage and antenna
- 17.3 cm wire is a quarter wave at 433 MHz
- Works with the RadioHead and RCSwitch Arduino libraries
