The rugged cousin of the HC-SR04: the electronics stay on a small board somewhere dry while a sealed transducer on a lead does the work outside. It measures 25 cm to 4.5 m at 40 kHz, quoted to about 2 mm, runs on 5V at roughly 30 mA, and uses the same trigger and echo timing as an HC-SR04, so existing sketches work unchanged. That makes it the usual pick for water-tank levels and outdoor distance sensing. Nothing under 25 cm registers.
