A 360-degree 2D laser scanner sized for indoor robots: the S2 measures from 0.10 to 8 metres, spins at a PWM-adjustable 4 to 8 Hz and returns 3,000 points a second - roughly 0.7 degrees between samples at 6 Hz. It talks over a 115,200 baud serial link on a 5V supply, and YDLIDAR's own SDK and ROS drivers turn that stream into a standard LaserScan topic, so it slots into an off-the-shelf SLAM or navigation stack rather than needing custom code.
