A ready-built pulse generator based on the NE555 timer wired as an astable oscillator, with a multi-turn trimmer on board to set the frequency. It gives you a clean square wave for clocking a counter, testing an input, stepping a driver or just watching an oscillator work on a scope. The NE555 runs on anything from 4.5 to 16V and its output can sink or source up to 200 mA, so it will drive an LED or a small relay directly.
