A linear slide potentiometer - a fader, the control you push along a track rather than turn - on a PCB-mount body roughly 7 cm long, stocked in 50 kΩ and 1.8 MΩ. Like any pot it has three terminals: put your supply across the two ends and the wiper gives a voltage that follows the slider, or use the wiper and one end as a plain variable resistor. Good for mixer-style panels, lighting desks and anywhere the setting should be readable at a glance.
