A 2G modem and a GPS receiver in one SIMCom SIM908, on a development board with a SIM holder, microphone and speaker jacks and headers for everything else. It finds its position and then reports it by SMS or over GPRS, which is a whole vehicle tracker in one part rather than two. Quad-band 850/900/1800/1900 MHz with GPRS multi-slot class 10, driven by AT commands over serial. Supplied with a GSM whip antenna, a GPS puck antenna and two u.FL-to-SMA pigtails.
