A single-turn rotary potentiometer with a threaded bush, nut and anti-rotation tab, so it mounts through a panel and takes a push-on knob on its knurled metal shaft. Three solder pins let you wire it as a voltage divider for an analogue input, or use two pins as a simple variable resistor. Available from 5 kohm to 1 Mohm - 10 kohm is the sensible default for feeding an Arduino analogue pin, while the higher values suit audio and op-amp circuits.
