The little SOT-223 low-dropout regulator that sits on the corner of half the ESP and sensor boards ever made: 1 A out, dropout guaranteed under 1.3 V at full load, and only a couple of ceramic capacitors needed around it. This is the bare surface-mount chip for your own boards or for repairing one where the regulator has died. Line regulation 0.2% and load regulation 0.4%, with a 15 V absolute maximum on the input.
