A data-logging shield that stacks straight onto an Arduino Uno and gives you two things at once: a full-size SD card socket on SPI and a DS1307 real-time clock on I2C. The clock has its own coin-cell holder and 56 bytes of battery-backed RAM, and its calendar handles leap years correctly to 2100, so every line you write to the card can carry a true date and time. There is also a prototyping area, a reset button and two user LEDs.
Key features
- Full-size SD card socket on the SPI bus
- DS1307 real-time clock on I2C with 32.768 kHz crystal
- 56 bytes of battery-backed RAM, leap years to 2100
- Coin-cell holder keeps time through a power cut
- Prototyping area, reset button and two user LEDs
- Stacks on the Arduino Uno R3 and compatibles
