The original-style Raspberry Pi camera board: a 5 MP OmniVision OV5647 sensor on a 25 x 24 mm board that plugs into the Pi's CSI ribbon port, leaving USB and the GPIO free. It takes 2592 x 1944 stills and 1080p30, 720p60 or 640x480p90 video through a fixed-focus f/2.9 lens covering 53.5 degrees horizontally, sharp from about a metre out. At 3 g it is light enough for a drone or a robot arm, and it is the standard starting point for time-lapse rigs, doorbell cameras and OpenCV projects.
