A bare piezoresistive pressure die in a dual-port case: apply a different pressure to each barb and the internal Wheatstone bridge produces a small differential voltage, about 35 mV across the full 0 to 10 kPa range on a 3V supply. It is uncompensated and unamplified, so it needs an instrumentation amplifier and some calibration before a microcontroller can read it - the trade for a genuine NXP sensor at this price. Usual homes: airflow, liquid level and low-pressure work.
Key features
- Differential, 0 to 10 kPa (1.45 psi)
- Wheatstone-bridge output, about 35 mV full scale at 3V
- Two barbed ports for tubing
- 3-6V supply, 4-pin SIP package
- Uncompensated - it needs an instrumentation amp
- Fast: about 1 ms response, -40 to +125C
