The MQ-5 element on a carrier board, so you get a working sensor rather than a bare tube: an analog pin whose voltage climbs with gas concentration, and a digital pin that flips at a threshold you set on the blue trim pot. It responds to LPG, natural gas and town gas from roughly 200 to 10,000 ppm on a 5V supply. That pairing - a level to log and a trigger to act on - is what makes it the usual choice for a kitchen or workshop gas-leak alarm.
