A microSD card socket on a small breakout that lets a microcontroller read and write files over SPI. It runs from 5V, with an on-board low-dropout regulator making the 3.3V the card needs and a 74LVC125A buffer shifting the logic levels, so it connects safely to a 5V Arduino without extra resistors. Six pins - VCC, GND, MISO, MOSI, SCK and CS - and the Arduino SD library handles FAT16 and FAT32 cards.
Key features
- SPI interface - 6 pins to any microcontroller
- 5V in, on-board 3.3V regulator for the card
- 74LVC125A level shifter, safe on 5V logic
- Works with the standard Arduino SD library
- Reads and writes FAT16 / FAT32 cards
- Data-logging, config files, sound and image storage
