Bosch's BMP180 on the small GY-68 carrier: a barometric pressure and temperature sensor reading 300 to 1100 hPa - roughly +9000 m down to -500 m of altitude - with 0.01 hPa of resolution and about 0.12 hPa of relative accuracy, near enough a metre of height. It talks I2C at the fixed address 0x77 and has mature libraries for Arduino, ESP and Python. The standard choice for weather stations, altimeters and drone height hold.
