The high-torque standard servo most robot arms end up using: metal gears, twin ball bearings, 9.4 kg per cm of stall torque at 4.8V and 11 kg per cm at 6V, in a 55 g case. It positions to an angle rather than spinning - TowerPro quote about 120 degrees of travel, though many units will take close to a full 180 degree command. Give it its own 5-6V supply rather than the Arduino's 5V pin, because stall current runs into the amps.
Key features
- Stall torque 9.4 kg·cm at 4.8V, 11 kg·cm at 6V
- 0.17 sec per 60 degrees at 4.8V, 0.14 sec at 6V
- Metal gear train, double ball bearing output
- Positional servo, roughly 120-180 degrees of travel
- 55 g in the standard 40.7 x 19.7 x 42.9 mm frame
- Comes with 4 horns, screws and grommets
