Wired 10 Mbit Ethernet for a microcontroller over four SPI wires. The board carries Microchip's ENC28J60 - a full MAC and 10BASE-T PHY with an 8 KB packet buffer - plus a HanRun HR911105A RJ45 jack with the magnetics and link LEDs built in. Feed it 3.3V: it draws about 160 mA transmitting, which is more than an Uno's 3.3V pin can supply. Its inputs are 5V tolerant, so a 5V Arduino can drive the SPI bus directly.
Key features
- Microchip ENC28J60, 10BASE-T, half and full duplex
- SPI clock up to 20 MHz, 8 KB packet buffer
- 3.3V supply only - 160 mA typical while transmitting
- 5V-tolerant inputs, so an Uno drives it directly
- HanRun HR911105A RJ45 with magnetics and link LEDs
- Wired link where Wi-Fi is congested or unreliable
