A coreless micro motor: the rotor is a self-supporting copper basket with no iron core, so there is almost no inertia to overcome. That makes it start, stop and change speed far more sharply than an ordinary can motor the same size, which is why micro quadcopters, haptic devices and tiny pumps use them. This one runs from a single lithium cell at 3.7V, with two fine flying leads and a thin plain shaft.
