A sensitive-gate SCR in a TO-92 case: 400V blocking, 0.8 A RMS, and it only needs 200 microamps on the gate to fire, which means a microcontroller pin or a photocell can trigger it directly. Once triggered it latches on and stays on until the current through it falls away - the behaviour that makes it useful for crowbar overvoltage protection, latching alarms, lamp and small motor control, and as the gate driver for a bigger thyristor.
