Two-watt axial film resistors with a gold tolerance band, for the places a quarter-watt part would cook: current sensing, bleeder resistors across supply capacitors, snubbers, dummy loads and LED strings on a high rail. Stocked in 29 values from 5.6 ohm right up to 8.2 megohm. Work the dissipation out first - 0.4 A through 10 ohm is 1.6 W, which is exactly where a 2 W part earns its keep.
