Two boards working together: a plated comb of interlocking traces that you mount outside, and a small comparator board that reads it. Water bridging the comb drops its resistance, so the analog pin falls as the plate wets and the digital pin flips once past the threshold you set on the trim pot. It runs from 3.3-5V and draws about 8 mA. Good for closing a window, retracting the washing or logging when it rained.
