The GY-521 board carrying InvenSense's MPU-6050: a 3-axis gyroscope and a 3-axis accelerometer, each digitised by its own 16-bit ADC, plus a temperature sensor and the on-chip DMP that fuses the two for you. The gyro switches between 250 and 2000 degrees per second full scale and the accelerometer between 2 and 16 g; it talks I2C at up to 400 kHz on address 0x68. The board's regulator lets you feed it 5V, though the logic itself is 3.3V.
Key features
- 6 axes: 3-axis gyro plus 3-axis accelerometer
- Gyro +/-250, 500, 1000 or 2000 degrees/s
- Accelerometer +/-2, 4, 8 or 16 g
- 16-bit ADC per axis, I2C up to 400 kHz
- Address 0x68, or 0x69 with AD0 pulled high
- 3.9 mA with all six axes and the DMP running
