A pair of magnetic connectors that snap together and align themselves - one half carries spring-loaded pogo pins, the other flat contact pads, with a magnet at each end doing the holding. Pull it sideways and it simply lets go, which is what makes it right for a charging dock, a detachable battery pack, or a robot part you want to take off without unplugging a cable. Available as two contacts or four.
