A high-pressure transmitter for hydraulic lines, presses, compressors and pumps: 0 to 40 MPa (400 bar, about 5,800 psi) in a stainless steel body that threads straight into the line. Three wires - feed it anything from 5 to 16 V DC and it returns a plain 0.5 to 4.5 V signal, 0.5 V at no pressure rising 1 V for every 100 bar, that any Arduino analogue pin reads directly. It is a heavy-duty range: on a mains water line or a workshop air tank the reading would barely move, so pick a lower-range sensor for those.
Key features
- 0-40 MPa (0-400 bar) gauge pressure - hydraulic and press work, not water tanks
- Wide 5-16 V DC supply; the 0.5-4.5 V output is the same whichever you use
- Analogue output goes straight to a 5 V board's analogue pin - a 3.3 V board (ESP32, Pico) needs a two-resistor divider first
- 0.5 V at zero pressure, so a reading of 0 V means a broken wire, not an empty line
- Stainless steel body with spanner flats and a sealed cable gland
- Roughly 0.5 bar per step on an Uno's 10-bit converter - fine for hydraulics, too coarse for low-pressure work
