The top-memory ESP32-S3 board: an ESP32-S3-WROOM-1 in the N16R8 build, meaning 16 MB of flash and 8 MB of PSRAM - roughly four times the flash and eight times the working memory of a standard ESP32. The dual Xtensa LX7 cores run at 240 MHz and add vector instructions that ESP-DSP and ESP-NN use for on-device neural networks, so camera, audio and edge-ML sketches that will not fit a plain ESP32 run here. Two USB-C ports: one to the serial bridge, one straight to the chip's native USB.
Key features
- 16 MB flash and 8 MB PSRAM (N16R8 build)
- Dual-core Xtensa LX7 at 240 MHz with NN vector instructions
- Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 5 LE
- 36 GPIO on 2 x 22 headers, 20 ADC-capable pins, 14 touch inputs
- Two USB-C ports - UART bridge and native USB OTG
- Addressable RGB LED on GPIO38
- 3.3V logic - not 5V tolerant
