Four rectifier diodes wired as a full bridge inside one 4-pin package, rated 1 A and 1000V with a 50 A surge rating and about 1.1V forward drop at 1 A. The two pins marked ~ take the AC in either way round; the + and - pins give pulsing DC for your smoothing capacitor. It replaces four separate 1N4007s in a transformer or mains-input supply, and unlike a single diode it uses both halves of the AC waveform, so there is far less ripple to smooth out.
