Three 3-input OR gates in a 14-pin DIP: each output goes high when any one of its three inputs is high. It is 4000-series CMOS, so the supply can be anything from 3V to 18V, inputs draw essentially nothing (1 µA max at 18V), and the typical propagation delay is around 60 ns at 10V. Reach for it when several alarm or button lines need combining into one signal - and note it is a plain OR, not the inverting NOR you get from a CD4025.
Key features
- Three 3-input OR gates in one 14-pin DIP
- Output goes high when any input is high
- 3V to 18V supply - CMOS 4000 series
- Around 60 ns typical propagation delay at 10V
- 1 µA maximum input current at 18V
- OR, not NOR - the CD4025 is the inverting one
