The DHT11 on a small 3-pin carrier board with the pull-up resistor already fitted, so it is three wires to an Arduino and one library call. It reports temperature and humidity as ready-made digital numbers over a single data pin - 0 to 50 degrees C to about plus or minus 2 degrees, and 20 to 90% RH to about plus or minus 5% - at one reading per second. Not a precision instrument, but it is the cheapest, easiest way to get a climate reading into a first project.
