A simple depth gauge: ten interleaved copper traces up a 40 x 16 mm strip, so the further the water rises the more traces it bridges. The signal pin gives an analog voltage that climbs with immersion depth, from a 3-5V supply. Good for tank levels, plant trays and leak alarms. One tip - power it from a digital pin and switch it on only while reading, because standing voltage in water corrodes the traces fast.
