Voltage Booster
A 150W step-up module on a red board with twin heatsinks and a big toroidal inductor. It lifts 10-32V up to an adjustable 12-35V at up to 6A, with efficiency around 94% converting 16V to 19V - which is exactly the job people buy it for, running a 19V laptop from a 12V car or solar system. Rated 100W on natural convection and 150W only with a fan on it, and there is no reverse-polarity protection, so get the input wires the right way round.
Key features
- Boost only - output must be higher than the input
- 10-32V in, 12-35V out, adjustable on the trimmer
- Up to 6A output; 100W convection, 150W with airflow
- ~94% efficient at 16V in / 19V out
- Output ripple 2% max
- No reverse-polarity protection - fit a series diode
