A general-purpose PNP transistor in TO-92 that handles rather more than the usual small-signal types: 800 mA of collector current, 45 V, and a gain of 100 to 630 at 100 mA. Being PNP it is the high-side switch - emitter to the positive rail, base pulled down through a resistor to turn it on - which is exactly what you want for switching a small load's supply from a microcontroller. Its NPN partner is the BC337.
