The N20 is the smallest practical metal gearmotor: a 12 mm brushed can with a brass-plate spur gearbox on the front, ending in a 3 mm D-shaped shaft. The whole thing is about thumb-sized and weighs a few grams, yet still has the torque to turn a small wheel, throw a latch, pan a camera or drive miniature blinds. This is the 3V build, so two AA cells or a single LiPo will run it without a boost converter.
