A small brushed can motor with a shaft out of both ends, so you can drive a wheel or fan at the front and put an encoder disc, a second load or a hand knob on the back. It works across a wide 1.5-6V range, which makes it easy to run straight from batteries - gentle on two cells, brisk on four. Two solder tabs, no gearbox, and it reverses if you swap the leads.
