The workshop's default small-signal diode. A glass DO-35 body rated at 100 V reverse, 300 mA of continuous forward current and a reverse recovery time of just 4 ns - quick enough for logic gating, clamping, signal steering and freewheeling a small relay. It is not a power rectifier: for supply rectification at an amp or more, reach for a 1N400x instead.
