The broad-spectrum smoke and gas sensor: a heated tin-dioxide element whose resistance falls in the presence of LPG, propane, butane, methane, hydrogen, alcohol vapour and smoke, over a 300 to 10,000 ppm span. The board gives an analog A0 that tracks concentration and a digital D0 that trips at whatever level you set on the trim pot, so it can drive a buzzer with no microcontroller at all. The heater runs constantly at up to 950 mW, so expect the module to sit warm.
